Welcome to our Practice

Midwifery, as practiced by certified nurse-midwives (CNMs) encompasses primary care for women across the lifespan from adolescence beyond menopause, with a special emphasis on pregnancy, childbirth, gynecologic and reproductive health. Midwives perform comprehensive physical exams, prescribe medications including contraceptive methods, order laboratory and other diagnostic tests and provide health and wellness education and counseling.

Certified Nurse-Midwives have graduated from a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) and have passed a national certification examination to receive the professional designation of certified nurse-midwife and they have been practicing in the United States since the 1920s.

“I received my prenatal care from Lin and was lucky enough to have her deliver my baby as well. She was an absolute joy to work with and has the sweetest personality. She does have a great sense of humor also and makes you feel at ease around her. I really feel like I got the best of both worlds: warm, personalized care and the security of a hospital birth”
-- Sarah T.

“Lin was with me through the entire delivery and very supportive. I was even able to deliver without the use of medication (my choice) and without any tearing or an episiotomy. This was due to Lin's fantastic work as a midwife! If you are really looking for supportive, consistent, good care during your pregnancy then you should really consider a midwife”.
-- Poonam

“From the very first time we met Maria, she just had a very calming and knowledgeable air about her. Like if you were talking to your mom and it made you feel safe :). Also knowing that she had delivered (the children of) many of the other midwives in the area was a great confidence boost’.
-- Jennifer

“Maria is amazing! I was introduced to Maria through several girlfriends, and she was everything they promised me she would be and MORE!”
-- Susan G.

“Maria is very open, honest, and down to earth. She makes you feel super comfortable in all things, doesn't push or force anything and is just the positive type of person you want for your birth. She stays at the hospital the entire time you're in labor and checks on you frequently - she doesn't just show up at the last minute when it's time to push (the normal physician way of doing things.”
-- Anne

“I switched from an OB to using the midwives during my 7th month of pregnancy. It was the best move I made. I was so scared about the birth process that I was pretty much planning on an epidural or a scheduled c-section. However, Bethany kept telling me that birthing is natural and women are made for it. She believed that I could do a natural birth and I ended up giving birth to a beautiful baby girl with Lin's help.”
-- Terry S.

“Thank you for giving me the confidence to birth my baby without any drugs or interventions. You have reinstalled my trust in the medical professions as I had stopped trusting ‘the system’ up until this time.”
-- Petra S.
